Left-out stories

Haha as i looked through my previous postings I realized I did not talked about lotsa events that happened last year or some really important moments or thoughts that I wish to blog about. Dang it, why am I not a "journal" person ! Below are some of it that I can recall as of now....

  • PCC Interstate 2008 - Kajang - Bahau - Kuala Rompin - Kuantan
  • Mizuno Wave Run
  • NX Generation Camp (next post)
  • UCSI Faculty of Applied Sciences Prom Night (next post)
PCC Interstate 1st Day

PCC Interstate is a 3 day cycling event organized annually by the cool people at PCC (pedalphiles cycling club, not pedophiles mind u). 1st day Kajang-Bahau around 120+ km, 2nd day Bahau-Kuala Rompin around 170+km and last day K.Rompin-Kuantan i think around 150+km. First day I got into a bad start because it started raining just as we push out of Metro Kajang. Imagine drizzling at around 6+am in the morning with hundreds of cyclist and traffic around you with the cold morning wind blowing you at speeds of 25-40 km/h (depending on how fast u go la). When we reached Genting Peres, I was kinda happy as I've ridden up Peres before. It is here that a few riders crash at the infamous turn connecting peres to semenyih, that turn was really dangerous as I've heard of motorcyclist and cyclist involve in accidents there. Moving on, I find myself lepaking enjoying the view climbing up then a thought came up. I remembered now that after Peres, 1 long crazy up and down rolling hills are waiting for me, kay there goes every single bits of happiness left in me. Somehow suffered through it, but no doubt it was tough for me.

I began to suffer right after having my lunch in some small town which i cant remember the name, where I gotta go through some kampung roads with lotsa huge dung on the roads then a stupid, crazy, back-breaking uneven road hill climb!!!!!!!!!! I just couldn't understand, with the sun already hot and my 'kwan low' mee circling in my stomach at speeds faster than Superman can circle the earth, I was ranting nonstop in my head somemore the only person who was with me was Pepsie ehhh Patsy/Patsie I think who i'd like to call her IronNenek(she did powerman and ironman as a nenek!) dropped me. My goodness, a 21 year old being dropped by a nenek on a climb is just ughhhhh speechless.

Then I did something that I have not done in a long time, I stopped at a small bus stand to pee and then relax and text Debbi (haa see deb deb, u better get me cun presents from oz for me and send it back). The final 20-30km, my butt felt as if two crocodiles are biting it, I somehow found myself in the company of 2 men where we ride painfully slow (20+ km/h) to reach the hotel then we shake each other's hands and sat at the entrance.

2nd day (ok I know my post is getting longer although as of now, i've already forgotten most of the events that happened haha, will keep it short from now on)

Waking up half scared half excited that I survived the first day, the moment we were flagged off, that mili-second my sexy manly butt came in contact with me saddle, I thought the earth cracked into half, SERIOUSLY!!!! I terus felt like stopping and hop into a support car but that would be so embarrasing, hopping into a car just 10meters from the hotel in a 180km stage?????So i convince myself that the pain would subside once adrenalin kicks in.

I was half-right though, The pain stayed until we got out of Bahau town into the main road (those main road where oil palms are on ur left and right). I got myself into a peloton with a LeTua rider in front of me, wah liaooooo i feel proud though his breathing seems he's just standing there compared to mine almost reaching huffing puffing state.

I was dropped at 1 part and with the excitement gone, 8 crocodiles are biting my butt as of this moment. 1 hour later, i'm looking for support car already. I found a nice lady who picked me up at 50km. Haih only rode 50 km on a 180km stage, a little embarassed but my sexy butt is more important.

(before I was dropped by them hehe)

3rd Day

Even if I lost my butt, i'm gonna finish the full distance. Butt wasn't that painful as previous day. Nothing much to say bout the last day except that I was with this ang moh lady (oh no, I forgot her name) and her son most of the time. This time its more like a jalan-jalan kayuh-kayuh cari makan trip lol. We found ourselves stopping for nasi padang issit forgot what nasi d, everybody say darn cun too bad i've just eaten lunch. We were hunting for coconut water and all along the way, stopping by the beach hahaha taking our sweet time. Then as usual any endurance events like this will bring u an awesome crazy sense of accomplishment.

(drafting behind Raymond was nice cause at this time he was relaxing and he was blasting 80's music from his phone or something)

After the great dinner(they serve lamb okay!!!my metabolism was so high and lasted for a week), I gotta say the accomplishment 'feel' just went off as I walkedoff alone from the dinner hall to a spot nearby and just sat there n look up the skies at the beautiful stars. I realized in terms of life successes and my life mission of impacting life, I think theres nothing much I've accomplished much here. All I did was just to prove that I could cycle 3 days (ok fine, 2 1/3 days), thats all. That gaze upon the sky reminds me there are so much things to do and God have so many things in store for me. It made me think back on my priorities in life. I'm glad of that moment. Saying that, I still think Interstate is worth it, its fun and I will definitely join again in 2009 hehehe. Will youuuuuuuu join me???? better power up my butt now~

Dunno when was this taken, I think at that time i was faking a smile cause i'm super hungryyy...

Mizuno Wave Run
Ha ha I ran badly this time. I dont know why all double hill runs organized by Pacesetters I sure did badly one. 1h 16m for 10km on a reverse double hill run. I gotta admit i find the reverse route super tough. But the real reason was I really slacked off after Interstate. While I was running, I noticed i was running way much slower than I normally would at the sameeeeeeee heart rate. I even stopped to walked a few times. Thats how much I've slacked off hahaha. Good thing to see was Heng Sheng joined me, and he was so darn fast, must be due to his fitness playing basketball and Elroy debuting in his new New Balance shoes, ironic that he hates New Balance hahaha.

McDonalds Olympic Day Run 2008

Distance : 7.3km (Frank's nike+ sportsband)
Venue : Dataran Merdeka

Andy > Frank > me

I know...dun laugh!! taken by pacemaker photographer whoever you are hehe

Short Version

  • Reached there with Goma and Sin May, too late to meet up with runnerz circle ppl.
  • Its Sin May's first time hehehehehehehe.
  • Watched leonard, waikuan, eddie, xinyi, yi xiong, and goma do aerobics.
  • Lined up quite at the back. BANG!! all of a sudden without even announcing "Ready!, GEt set! etc".
  • 2ndary school students at the start were slow and blocking the whole road, imagine 5-6 girls walking together in a horizontal line just few hundred metres away from starting line
  • Freed myself somewhere after the ktm station.
  • Met uncle Thiam Fook lol
  • Ran at 90+% max HR macam mau mampus the whole race.
Finished with 46:10 sec and dunked lots lots lots lots of ribena and a few cups of milo.

Long Version
Reached Laitee house only realised I didn't bring my report card, rush back home to take it sigh there goes the petrol. Parked at Lake Gardens which I will come to regret later (more on this later). Started the run, zig zagging to potong all the school kids that just love to appear together in a horizontal line either walking or jogging at a speed of walking. Only got to free myself during the hilly part . ONLY THEN I REALISED its part of the Double Hill route! I thought McD run should be easy, relaxing and flat all the way. I love the hills anyway heeee :D .

Met uncle Thiam Fook along the way lol. Amazingly i was running at about 90+ % of my max heart rate, couldn't control myself. For the first time, I overestimated the distance when I notice "uik? finishing d wor", normally I underestimate the distance and begging for the finish line to appear in front of me. After crossing the finish line, seconds later Lai tee crossed the finish line WITH A MEDAL IN HAND.....for that split second I wish I was a girl hahaha. Nah...being a guy is still good !!!ngek ngek

I'm satisfied with the result....but would like to be faster next time.

Youthaflame and SinMay!

With Lai Tee's sisters, Lai Tee's sisters' friends etc.

Time : 46:10
Average HR : 180
Peak HR : 194 (GILA siut...must be during the last 200 m)

So after all the drinking and taking pictures, went back to car and noticed my rear passenger side mirror was smashed. Thank GOD nothinggggg was stolen. I wasn't happy with that (who would lol) but I'm kinda alright, wasn't jumping around with fists flinging in the air or shouting profanities. Just worried about how much ringgit its gonna cost us this time.

Recently....

New Balance Pacesetters 15km 2008

Nothing technical to report as some of us were late and the run was already started. So I decided that i'll just run to enjoy the route, not to mention no time to warm up n stretch properly before the race. Overall, the route is really nice....super hilly.I kinda realised i like running up hill LOL.....its nice cutting many ppl while going uphill since most of them will be walking up hehe. Will revenge next year hehehe.Position 700+ LOL!!

Joyce's Farewell
Joyce left us already, she's going to Utar Kampar campus. Hope she'll be able to adapt well as well as impacting the people there with God's love and presense. Miss running with you Joyce, do come back and run together yaa....

Kaki Corner, with 20+ ppl, I didn't even manage to talk to Joyce =(
Joyce and her CG members, with the leader missing....Swt....hehe

Most of the time I was crapping and watching Thomas cup with licky in the restaurant, then when Korea won the 1st double match against China, he showed me this fat hao face...

Even his bro also terkejust with licky's weird paranormal expression.

Ann's Birthday!!

Ann opened her house to celebrate her 21st birthday.....We had fun...enjoy the pictures to know why....
Pictures taken from eddie's blog WITHOUT permission hehehe

Youthaflame together

Everything must come to an end....not quite HEHE

oooppsss

Happy birthday Ann

Satay Kajang (with "Tirkey" Tirza...gotta come out with new nick since I forgotten the old one)

Look at the picture above....Tirza did not do her 'peace' sign. Good good, now she knows how to smile and pose nicely already...hehehehe. We ordered, 10 chicken meat, 10 beef and 4 rabbit ..yessss RABBIT!!. but in the end we got extras, a few hati and perut I think. The guy messed up our orders and Albert ate those organ satays hehehehe. And our total bill doesnt account to the value of satay we got hehehe not to mention TIRKEY belanja-ed me!! wooo thanks tirkey...

What we ordered, taken by Ann with my camera...very noticeable the lack of skill hehehe jk

haha closer shot of the satays...before it all went into my stomach.

Ann syok sendiri. Again the noticeable drop in er........nothing nothing....

Justin's Bday

He gave a speech on how much he loves me, adore me and thank me for coming and he was so touched that he look so sad..and 'sobby'. He have a whole book written with his speech for me...aww how nice of u justin.......(some pictures were again taken from Eddie's blog WITHOUT permission...man I love pirating his photos)

Ok, by now u should have figured out i was crapping, it was a game manual for the board game RISk....

In the end, Albert won, although Justin was dominating the whole south and north america. hahaha

Something Random.

I found someone more ganas and terrifying than BUBU, its this little girl really scary all the guys are affraid of her and often got terrorize by her seemingly super random ganas threats. One even got whacked at his...er....u know....As u can see, we were playing 1-2 jus...

haha! I win, see how she gotta follow me. cute eh~ keke. Looks like a girl as ganas her can be tamed, I guess bubu can be tamed too hmm~ Anyway, this game was played during secondary school youth's Mother's day event, where I accidently won the whole game LOL, I didn't mean it!!!!was gonna let the mothers win. Great job youths, I see the joy and satisfaction in your mother's ears, I myself nearly cry..............Great job reconciling back to your mum and renewing the relationship.

Klang Pacers Half Marathon

27/4 i went for the klang half marathon 10km category together with Joyce, Alexis and Leonard. Hmm...I didn't slept at all the night before. Couldn't sleep since I took a 3 hour nap during the evening. Didn't feel as good as KLIM or Orangerun. Somehow achieve my target of continuous run except for water stations and to tie shoe lace. Didn't bring watch/timer so not really sure about my timing and my position. I agak agak around 1 hour 12 min which is the same as my KLIM =(. Leonard did very well this time, also Joyce and Waikuan came in to the finish line sprinting against each other hahaha, MC also excited watching both of them and shouting their names when they entered the last 50 metres.

Looks like superman eh?hehehe.

Orange Run 2008

A fun run organized by BHP petrol where they wickedly cheat runners by publishing it is a 9km run...its actually 9.8-9.9 km according to some runners watches and or GPS devices. Below are the pictures of some dumb dumb who got up early in the morning when everybody is still sleeping to go to the curve NOT for shopping but to suffer LOL

Dumb dumb no.1 Alexis. Semangatnya at the starting line

Apa jadi kat finishing line =p?

Dumb dumb no.2 Joyce

Dumb dumb no.3 Shan

Orang gila no.1/Dumb dumb no.4 Laitee(I wonder who she's staring at)

Dumb dumb no.5 & 6.Leo & Jon

KLIM Day +0 - My first official race.

abu ne ne~ abu ne ne~ abu ne ne HOI!!!!

That indian-styled hokkien song which is my alarm clock began singing like nobody business at 4.30am. It sure is annoying but it works =)Woke up easily despite having little sleep, seconds later wakeup call from joyce.

Packed everything and nearly forgotten my reporting card. Picked up Joyce and Shan2 and off we go!!! 5.30am when almost everybody is sleeping. Excitement level grew when we saw 1 or 2 runners in the full marathon category run past us on the opposite side of the road. Excitement level doubles up when we were thinking where to park as we saw half marathons and 10km runners crossing the road so we drove towards where they came from and found Taman perdana and parked there......

The moment we walked over, we saw thousands of runners for half mara being flagged off and at the same time thousands of 10 k runners stretching and warming up all over the dataran!! we felt intimidated lol. Took sometime at the toilet and looking for the luggage area and it was time for reporting, we havnt even do our warm up jog and we were still eating up our Powerbar....hastily.

Clocktower strikes 7am Ting tong ting tong BANG!Off we go!! as the guest of honor was waving to flag us off, I realised no one actually looked at that poor fellow hahahaha. 5 - 6 thousand of runners start-off is simply....magnificent. The slight incline at the start, we saw literally hundreds if not thousands of heads popping up and down the whole stretch of the road and we looked back it was the same sight.

As we passed by Dewan Bahasa into Jln Hang Tuah we were joined by the 7km secondary kids, their pace was Fast!! they were overtaking all the 10km and 21km runners. But moments later, they all pancit all over the city hahaha. The incline near Pavilion reduced me to walking =( it doesn't look hard, but it was hard to climb. Then after sometime i saw a roadsignboard which states Dataran merdeka 2km. Happily i shouted to Shan2 '2 KM more !! YESH!!!' and i upped my pace like a crazy fellow overtaking everyone. After 1 km or so, was greeted by another water station only to find out theres 3KM more.....STUPID SIGNBOARD!!

Can't keep that high pace anymore, then I saw the Adidas water-shower-cooling-thingy, looks fun =) ran under it came out frowning as i'm completely wet and was heavy, somehow it refreshed me and I raised my pace significantly without realizing it, thats where I left Shan2. Moments later, reduced to walking for awhile then i caught a glimpse of the Dataran after a corner and i started running again.

Nearly puke at the finish, then there was this super long queue at the finish line, lined up and look at the clock tower, 8.12...I qualified!!!!! can;t believe i actually qualified within the 1 hour 20 mins time. My goal was just to finish the course. Was hoping for a medal but couldn't get it =( i think the last medal was handed out about 100+ ppl infront of me. If only i was few minutes faster. Then came Shan2 followed up by Joyce, they both got position 180+ and 200+ respectively and received the medals, i wish i was a girl at that point hehehe. Came home with a cert and a "prize". I need to thank Joyce and Shan2 cause without them i don't think i could run this far as Shan2 just kept running nonstop like gila d....maybe its just merely due to my pride hahaha dun wan to lose to girls merrr :)

My cert

Joyce's finisher medal...jealousnya!~

MY PRIZE!!!!!!!MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ok fine, everybody got this...i'm still proud of it!

KLIM 2008 Day -1

Last minute, took up the offer to take over LaiTee's dads' place in the 10km event. Was happy yet scared as i've never ran 10km before and this will be my first official race. Goal is just to simply finish the course. BUTttt....I hope during the reporting time they won't ask for IC or check for IC number to verify runner. I dont wanna get disqualified after waking up early in themorning, drive all the way to Dataran Merdeka, consume the RM7 Powerbar and end up not running and go home. I reallllllyy hope i could slip in and run.......

....Buttsore....

Last Thursday, marked my official comeback to cycling by joining PCC for the Putrajaya Recovery Night Ride. This time, i have more to look forward to since 2 buddies from BBS is coming too, clarence and abang bahri haha nice meeting them. As always, seeing other ppl's cunted bike always make me drool hehehe with brands like Pinarello, Specialized, Scoot, Trek and many more.

Its just a short 30km around the vicinity of Putrajaya where u could see the beautiful architectures of the mosque, government buildings, the PICC area and also 1 of the bridge. Although its short, for a new cyclist like me, i couldn't keep up with the lead group after the 1st checkpoint at 10km. Since i got dropped from the lead group, there was this girl passed me by and i pedal the best i could to draft behind her to reduce the wind drag but moments later i couldn't keep up lol

After a long slight climb, reached the 2nd checkpoint at 20+ km. While waiting for the others, i accidently knock 2 other bikes down. MY HEART STOPPED BEATING!!! i knocked down a pinarello belongs to an uncle and the Trek belongs to the girl. $$$$ crossed my mind....fortunately nothing happens =). Then we head off few more km to reach our cars.

Upcoming KOM (King of mountain i think) Genting Sempah organized by Way2Ride, a 15 km climb to the MCD i think starting from Hospital Orang Asli. I don't think I'm fit enough to compete but might just join for fun for the experience and to hype up cycling in Msia. Participants will receive 10% Polar products/watches voucher, tempting ler. Should I should I?
KOM Genting Sempah 2008

New balance 767

Went to Sunway Pyramid with family. Bought a new pair of shoes after bout 2 years of wearing the same shoe hahaha, the other shoes i wear for sports were some old sports shoe i curi from my mum hee hee.

Introducing the New Balance 767! A stability running shoe with some cushion features thrown in. Should be a good shoe la, will test it out when i'm free, by curi curi run around my neighbourhood kee kee kee. I know some of u sure say Jon kaya all these..but kesian me la, i really only had 1 'real' shoe that fully belonged to me for 2 years. I deserve 1 now right???right??

While queuing up to pay, i saw 1 bunch of el-cheapo eyewear with polarised technology and claimed to block UV up to 99.99% (yeah right) so just throw it along with the shoes haha since its quite cheap compared to those branded ones which costs RM300-RM600+. But it looks abit cacat on me, I might just give my mum la

A series of pictures where we moved only 10 metres after 5-10 mins. We were stuck in the carpark for almost 30-40 minutes. I think its because those HK stars leaving Sunway convention centre after the Astro Drama Awards thingy......haih...wasted petrol n time.

My mum n sis took a pic...
My sis is single but NOT AVAILABLE....gotta go through me first
My mum is DEFINITELY NOT AVAILABLE!!!!!!
