Left-out stories

Haha as i looked through my previous postings I realized I did not talked about lotsa events that happened last year or some really important moments or thoughts that I wish to blog about. Dang it, why am I not a "journal" person ! Below are some of it that I can recall as of now....

  • PCC Interstate 2008 - Kajang - Bahau - Kuala Rompin - Kuantan
  • Mizuno Wave Run
  • NX Generation Camp (next post)
  • UCSI Faculty of Applied Sciences Prom Night (next post)
PCC Interstate 1st Day

PCC Interstate is a 3 day cycling event organized annually by the cool people at PCC (pedalphiles cycling club, not pedophiles mind u). 1st day Kajang-Bahau around 120+ km, 2nd day Bahau-Kuala Rompin around 170+km and last day K.Rompin-Kuantan i think around 150+km. First day I got into a bad start because it started raining just as we push out of Metro Kajang. Imagine drizzling at around 6+am in the morning with hundreds of cyclist and traffic around you with the cold morning wind blowing you at speeds of 25-40 km/h (depending on how fast u go la). When we reached Genting Peres, I was kinda happy as I've ridden up Peres before. It is here that a few riders crash at the infamous turn connecting peres to semenyih, that turn was really dangerous as I've heard of motorcyclist and cyclist involve in accidents there. Moving on, I find myself lepaking enjoying the view climbing up then a thought came up. I remembered now that after Peres, 1 long crazy up and down rolling hills are waiting for me, kay there goes every single bits of happiness left in me. Somehow suffered through it, but no doubt it was tough for me.

I began to suffer right after having my lunch in some small town which i cant remember the name, where I gotta go through some kampung roads with lotsa huge dung on the roads then a stupid, crazy, back-breaking uneven road hill climb!!!!!!!!!! I just couldn't understand, with the sun already hot and my 'kwan low' mee circling in my stomach at speeds faster than Superman can circle the earth, I was ranting nonstop in my head somemore the only person who was with me was Pepsie ehhh Patsy/Patsie I think who i'd like to call her IronNenek(she did powerman and ironman as a nenek!) dropped me. My goodness, a 21 year old being dropped by a nenek on a climb is just ughhhhh speechless.

Then I did something that I have not done in a long time, I stopped at a small bus stand to pee and then relax and text Debbi (haa see deb deb, u better get me cun presents from oz for me and send it back). The final 20-30km, my butt felt as if two crocodiles are biting it, I somehow found myself in the company of 2 men where we ride painfully slow (20+ km/h) to reach the hotel then we shake each other's hands and sat at the entrance.

2nd day (ok I know my post is getting longer although as of now, i've already forgotten most of the events that happened haha, will keep it short from now on)

Waking up half scared half excited that I survived the first day, the moment we were flagged off, that mili-second my sexy manly butt came in contact with me saddle, I thought the earth cracked into half, SERIOUSLY!!!! I terus felt like stopping and hop into a support car but that would be so embarrasing, hopping into a car just 10meters from the hotel in a 180km stage?????So i convince myself that the pain would subside once adrenalin kicks in.

I was half-right though, The pain stayed until we got out of Bahau town into the main road (those main road where oil palms are on ur left and right). I got myself into a peloton with a LeTua rider in front of me, wah liaooooo i feel proud though his breathing seems he's just standing there compared to mine almost reaching huffing puffing state.

I was dropped at 1 part and with the excitement gone, 8 crocodiles are biting my butt as of this moment. 1 hour later, i'm looking for support car already. I found a nice lady who picked me up at 50km. Haih only rode 50 km on a 180km stage, a little embarassed but my sexy butt is more important.

(before I was dropped by them hehe)

3rd Day

Even if I lost my butt, i'm gonna finish the full distance. Butt wasn't that painful as previous day. Nothing much to say bout the last day except that I was with this ang moh lady (oh no, I forgot her name) and her son most of the time. This time its more like a jalan-jalan kayuh-kayuh cari makan trip lol. We found ourselves stopping for nasi padang issit forgot what nasi d, everybody say darn cun too bad i've just eaten lunch. We were hunting for coconut water and all along the way, stopping by the beach hahaha taking our sweet time. Then as usual any endurance events like this will bring u an awesome crazy sense of accomplishment.

(drafting behind Raymond was nice cause at this time he was relaxing and he was blasting 80's music from his phone or something)

After the great dinner(they serve lamb okay!!!my metabolism was so high and lasted for a week), I gotta say the accomplishment 'feel' just went off as I walkedoff alone from the dinner hall to a spot nearby and just sat there n look up the skies at the beautiful stars. I realized in terms of life successes and my life mission of impacting life, I think theres nothing much I've accomplished much here. All I did was just to prove that I could cycle 3 days (ok fine, 2 1/3 days), thats all. That gaze upon the sky reminds me there are so much things to do and God have so many things in store for me. It made me think back on my priorities in life. I'm glad of that moment. Saying that, I still think Interstate is worth it, its fun and I will definitely join again in 2009 hehehe. Will youuuuuuuu join me???? better power up my butt now~

Dunno when was this taken, I think at that time i was faking a smile cause i'm super hungryyy...

Mizuno Wave Run
Ha ha I ran badly this time. I dont know why all double hill runs organized by Pacesetters I sure did badly one. 1h 16m for 10km on a reverse double hill run. I gotta admit i find the reverse route super tough. But the real reason was I really slacked off after Interstate. While I was running, I noticed i was running way much slower than I normally would at the sameeeeeeee heart rate. I even stopped to walked a few times. Thats how much I've slacked off hahaha. Good thing to see was Heng Sheng joined me, and he was so darn fast, must be due to his fitness playing basketball and Elroy debuting in his new New Balance shoes, ironic that he hates New Balance hahaha.
