Friendship among Women: A woman didn't come home one night. The next morning she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend's house. The man called his wife's 10 best friends. None of them knew anything about it.

Despite being lazy on the bike and have not ridden on my baby merida for six freaking months(the Interstate tag is still there!) I still had the guts to say i'm interested in LTDL (le tour de langkawi) but kept missing the midnight highlights on TV1. Ha ha so Jon-ish eh? So to prove that i'm a man of my words, I went for the last stage of LTDL the traditional KL criterium stage. I brought (forcefully yet gently) Joye along and she caused us to be late.
The moment we stepped out of Masjid Jamek station, the peloton just passed by about 30 meters in front. DANG ittt....they started on time!(i was hoping the organizers would follow 'malaysian' time). After instilling some guilt into Joye's conscience we continue walking towards Dataran and right at the last corner towards Dataran, the riders are approaching for their 2nd lap. We dashed to the barrier to watch.
Wouuu here they comes.....
and then......
BANG!! 1 rider smack into the barrier. View of the rider was blocked =(. I wonder whether Joye got a good shot at him or not.
Here we are at the starting/sprint/finishing line.
Too tired/sleepy to smile properly
Introducing Tep Tep (Joye)
I don't remember which lap is this. The vacuum/wind caused by the peloton when it whizzed by us was exhilirating....(4 shots below were shot by Tep Tep - not bad =p)
Notice the funny looking guy in pink? My first glance I thought he was a woman haha. Turns out its a japanese rider from Japan, team Metan Humpo or something, lazy to google their site again. Click to enlarge.
Poor thing, they were dropped by the peloton. Might be due to the blockade of support cars during the crash on the 2nd lap. But they never gave up. Letua rider in front. Note: Letua = a Malaysian cycling team.
Recorded a video for the last lap but I wasn't looking at my camera's LCD screen hence, very bad recording. But I think its worth watching or listening lol.
The Overall Winner Jose Serpa, he also took the King of Mountain title with him. Lazy to mention the green jersey winner. Oh yesh! Tonton Susanto an Indonesian won the best Asian rider. Why am I mentioning his name? He's in Letua hahaha congrats Letua.
Well, as we were leaving Tep Tep asked me to kiss her cheek. Then I said, nahhh its too early, maybe next time.
Then this guy got interested pulak.............hmmm u like him Tep Tep?
The word geek couldn't be avoided when the 4 names above are mentioned. For those uninitiated, Akihabara is an area in Tokyo famous for electronics and otaku stuffs. You'll be seeing toys, gashapons (figurines), comics, animes and etc.
I couldn't understand how blood donation centers in Akihabara are registering increase in number of donors while other centers' are getting lesser donors. Just when I'm about to throw away my pessimistic self and acknowledge that even otakus are kind hearted and would wanna contribute to society (I have yet to donate....yet) then I found out why throngs of otakus are dashing to donate their blood.
Akihabara centers offer large library of mangas (comics) and various services including girls dressed up as meido(thats maid in japanese pronounciation, similar to 'cyclist' as u read my blog address) and gave free services like massages and all. NO WONDER they would wanna donate!!!!!!
TING TING! my pessimistic side won again......
Anyway, since there's no hanky panky stuff and people's lives are saved. I got nothing to complain. At least thats much better than donating blood in Malaysia. If ever theres lenglui taking my blood, I would have been the top blood donator in the country hehe.
If I ever have the chance to go Japan, I would definitely visit Akihabara and witness with my own eyes how ganas is the 'otakuness' culture and ahem ahem some meido....
